Taking the Gospel to the Nations
From the beginning, God's intentions were clear when He commanded Adam and Eve to "increase, multiply, fill the earth." Jesus reaffirmed this call with His mandate to take the gospel to "Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth." This is the gospel’s rallying cry—not only to those who have never heard the name of Jesus but also to places where His name has been forgotten or ignored.
Growing & Developing Leaders
No mission can be fulfilled without the full mobilization, training, coaching, and mentoring of its leaders. Jesus’ model, exemplified by His interactions with the 3, the 12, the 72, and the 120, serves as our framework for nurturing the calling, gifts, and ministries of each emerging leader.
Planting & Strengthening Churches
The heart of the scriptures reveals that the fruit of the Jesus’ ministry is to be "a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor." Planting communities that love Jesus is one of the central goals of the New Covenant. We are committed to creating and strengthening healthy, vibrant, and multiplying communities through our focus on theology, community, mission, and leadership.

Our gatherings are designed to cultivate and celebrate the deep friendships and relationships that form the foundation of our apostolic life together. These gatherings are not just activities—they are opportunities to connect, grow, and strengthen the bonds that sustain our mission. EUROPE COLLECTIVE - ISTANBUL
NOVEMBER 18th - 21st, 2026
Join us in Istanbul as leaders, emerging leaders, teams and friends from across Europe gather to seek Jesus, strengthen relationships and be equipped for the season ahead. Together, we will worship, pray, and share life, and lift our eyes to God’s bigger Kingdom story, partnering to strengthen local churches and carry the Gospel to the Nations.

Church Planting 1.0
This annual cohort is for those exploring church planting and creating Jesus communities worldwide. Designed and mentored by experienced church planters, it offers a practical and foundational look at culture creation in a new community.

This ongoing cohort is designed to empower those who have already started on the journey of church planting. Participants have an opportunity to help each other explore the beauty, wonder and challenges of creating community. Together they engage the common challenges experienced, thereby fostering healthy critical thinking.

Worship Cohort
We are passionate about serving local churches by helping worship teams grow in both skill and spiritual depth.
Training can include worship theology, team culture, musicianship, vocal and instrumental development, sound, worship leadership, and building healthy worship ministries that serve the local church.
Our desire is not simply to develop better musicians, but to raise up worshippers who love Jesus, serve His Church well, and lead others into wholehearted worship. We have historically gathered on zoom over a few weeks to target aspects of worship that would be helpful to that particular church, and if opportunity avails itself, we are also happy to come through and conduct training days with your team.

Latin World Cohort
We have been working into the Latin world in various spaces and places. We therefore created a monthly Zoom call to compare notes, wrestle with similar challenges, and discern the Father’s purposes and plans for this group. Our ministry currently reaches the Hispanic/Latino communities in Los Angeles, Virginia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Colombia, Portugal, Argentina, and Brazil (by association).

Our Story
Our story began with a group of longstanding friends enjoying a weekend away in Laguna Beach, California. Over the course of the weekend, God clearly revealed that we were to recalibrate to a new adventure to embrace being “Together on Mission”.
Since those early days in 2017 we began to discover what that really meant, and we have passionately built out an apostolic story.
Working in about eighteen nations, we have found ourselves planting and strengthening churches and giving ourselves to leadership development. We have helped establish orphanages as well as given ourselves to city impact. We have sought to see the gospel impact the world with great compassion and power. We are better together.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and only authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death on the cross through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, in His ongoing intercession for the saints, and in His personal return in power and glory to establish the new heavens and new earth.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling and empowering, the Jesus-follower is enabled to mature and live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those that are saved, to the resurrection of life and to eternal unity with God, and those that are lost, to eternal separation from God.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Costa Mesa, CA
Chris and Meryl started their journey of ministry in South Africa in 1982. True church planting veterans, they have initiated countless plants around the world. They have lead three churches (the current one in Costa Mesa, CA), and are committed to training and mentoring young leaders in their own church planting endeavors - and they show no signs of slowing down! They have three children, two sons-in-law, and six grandchildren.

Centurion, South Africa
George & Liezl love the local church and seeing the nations come to Christ. Their mission? To make Jesus famous, starting with their hearts, home, and three kids… and then, the world! Fueled by good coffee and laughter, they take their calling seriously, but not themselves. Presently they're learning French, and Duo Lingo has been their most patient teacher—though they're practically experts at slow-motion French. They love sharing meals with friends and exploring new towns on foot or bicycle, which is another excuse for more great food and company!

Terry and Linda, church planters from South Africa, lead a table community in Altadena, CA. They love people, and truly believe that hospitality is God’s secret weapon. Linda is a creative at heart. Terry (a lifelong Liverpool supporter) delights in boring everyone with his repetitive stories about a myriad of experiences and hobbies. It’s a joy for them to serve on the Genesis Collective leadership, supporting whoever and however they can.

Durban, South Africa
Nick and Katie Hardy, have two delightful adult children. Originally from Mauritius, they have lived most of their adult lives in and around Durban, South Africa. They were captured by the Gospel of Jesus many decades ago and have been in full time ministry since 1997. Since 2000 they have been leading Red Point Church in Pinetown, a stunning community who they love dearly. They deem it a privilege to work with their friends from Genesis Collective into a number of nations, particularly in Mauritius and South Africa.

Phil and Leigh Kendon have three wonderful adult children, spread out from Mauritius to Cape Town and Vancouver, Canada. They moved from Durban to Mauritius in 2015, to lead Redeemer Church in Black River. This beautiful community of diverse people, cultures, and backgrounds seeks to love and serve the people of Mauritius and beyond. Phil and Leigh work with the Genesis Collective team into the Indian Ocean region with church relationships that extend to the Seychelles and Madagascar.

Dubai, UAE
Linda and Rob lead a beautiful, faith community in Dubai, UAE called Well of Life, with vibrant, entrepreneurial Jesus lovers from literally dozens of countries. The location and nature of Dubai also makes it a natural kingdom gateway to the nations. They have been married for more than 30 years, during which time they've transitioned out of their professions into ministry, led two churches, and have raised three amazing kids, and had a blast doing it!

Daniel (DJ) and Crista lead Imago Dei in Bellflower, CA. They planted Imago Dei (“image of God”) in 2015, a beautifully diverse and gospel centered reproducing community. DJ and Crista have been married since 2008, are still madly in love, and have 5 kids under 10 years old. They are captivated by the person of Jesus and want everyone to “come and see” him.

Matt and Kristen were married in 2001 and have had the privilege of raising five amazing kids. They lead Anthem Church in Thousand Oaks, CA and have been a part of the Genesis Collective Leadership since 2017. Jesus has captured their hearts and they love talking about Him wherever they can. Whether at home or abroad, their family has been so grateful to be a part of this global Gospel adventure! Nations they are working into: US, Nepal, Laos, England, Wales, Turkey.

Thula is part of the eldership team at Red Point Church in Durban, South Africa. He has a deep love for worship and training others to lead worship. Seeing people responding to God in praise continues to be one of the highest privileges of his life. He’s super grateful that the ministry has allowed him to travel and experience new places and build friendships around the world.

Newport, Wales
Heath and Leah, who live in Newport, Wales, where they lead Liberty Church, have three amazing children. Sunshine (ironic as to where they live), the beach, and wide open spaces are their happy, fun spaces. They love seeing people live fully alive, growing into who they were made to be by Jesus. It’s their honor to work with a team into their own nation and currently also into Nepal, Cyprus, Greece and the Baltic region.
